First and Foremost…

But never the less I DO want you to succeed in your own little way and that is better in my own opinion because there are many things YOU NEED to know.

So without any further adieu…

How To Be an Affiliate Marketer.

Affiliate Marketing what is it?, can I make a lot of money from it? Is it hard? Those are the most common questions along with can I quit my day job and the answer to can I quit my day job and that answer is no.

Well at least for right now. It’s easy but it’s not and its a lot of trial and error on seeing what works and what does not. Which programs are the best and what ones are duds… I will say this you will spend a few hours or more on the Computer so make sure you have a comfy chair.

Before You Do Anything…

You need to figure out what your website or blog is going to be about, what kind of content will you be featuring and having the right products to promote.

OK take this Blog for example I do product reviews, I have a review blog for coffee as well get the picture?

Get a domain name and make sure your domain name is relevant to what you are doing your blog or website is about. Trust me this could take a while so you might have to get a little creative. Depending on where you get it from Godaddy, Hostgator, Interserver, or wherever you decide to. They are not expensive at all 5 to 15 bucks a year.

Then you want to get hosting for the Domain name and Website or Blog you want to do. We recommend InterServer they have some awesome pricing and easy one-click installs and trust me for a beginner that one-click install is a godsend.

Ok, After all that…

You want to set up your website with some content, especially with blogs at least have 5 to 6 posts. Then you can go back to 2 to 3 posts a week , your blog must have frequent activity in order for google to keep it in the rankings.

Now the reason why I recommend that you get everything set up before you go looking to join programs is because they will ask you for a Domain name and how you plan on using their links. So you have to at least have that and it looks more professional when you are applying as well remember you want to get good high commission content.

Now you are ready to look for programs to promote like Amazon, Walmart, Commission Junction, Share a Sale, and many others. Me personally I am always checking a company to see if they have an affiliate program. You do not want to have too many companies but you also do not want to put all your eggs in one basket promoting only one product neither.

You have to always monitor your traffic and sales to see what is the best seller and the worst the object is to make money right? Not to mention what is not selling today does not mean there will be no market tomorrow but sill you got to make some sales now.

Because many of these programs have a payout threshold meaning you do not get paid until you reach a certain dollar amount. Some are $50 dollars and some are $100 dollars till you can even see your money I have had accounts with $49.00 dollars and I had to wait a week or two just for that sale that was going to give me a payout.

So my advice is this, dedicate one blog or website to one program. One blog to share a sale and one blog to commission junction and so on. Now you can get away with two or maybe three programs on one blog or website but you gotta have high traffic to pull it off.

Sooooo…

For right now you need to decide what you are going to do a website or blog about. Then you need a good strong domain and hosting, set it up and make it look good and then apply for some affiliate programs.

Stay tuned for more !!!
